With that in mind, we’ve got some good news for beer drinkers, particularly fans of darker beers, because a renowned sex expert says that a few brews can actually help men up their game between the sheets.
According to the Sunday World, LA based sexologist Dr. Kat Van Kirk says that drinking beer can improve a man’s stamina and delay climax during sex.
Furthermore, in a study published in the European Journal of Epidemiology moderation, Dr. Van Kirk claims that drinking darker beers, like a nice creamy pint of Guinness, for example, can provide longer-lasting pleasure.
“Brews are rich in vitamins and minerals, especially vitamin B and others that have probiotic qualities,” Dr. Van Kirk said.
“This means it can help fortify your overall health and be better on your stomach so you won’t feel sluggish during sex.
"The iron helps red blood cells create haemoglobin, which carries the oxygen around the body - this improves circulation and has a strong effect on blokes."
Dr. Van Kirk did point out that the benefits that beer has during sex only apply when those beers have been drank in moderation, so don't go expecting miracles when you land home after ten pints and chips, cheese and curry sauce.
