The extremely lucky winner can now buy the equivalent of four Caribbean islands and still have a few million to spare, or the equivalent of 11 different luxury six-bedroom properties in London’s affluent Hyde Park, reports ITV,

Only 14 players have ever won a jackpot over £100 million since it launched in 2004 – the previous record-holder being an anonymous individual who won £170 million back in October 2019. This latest amount sees the unidentified winner catapulted to the top of the National Lottery’s rich list.

Senior winners’ adviser Andy Carter at The National Lottery said: “What an amazing night for one UK ticket-holder who has scooped the incredible £184 million EuroMillions jackpot – they have become the UK’s biggest ever National Lottery winner.

“Players are urged to check their tickets and give us a call if they think they are tonight’s lucky winner.” Imagine the moment the winner pulls out their ticket and realises their life is about to change forever. How do you even compose yourself enough to make that phone call?

Whoever you are, enjoy it, ya lucky sod!
