Sex and relationship expert Dr Wendy Walsh Ph.D says this all comes down to biological evolution
She explained that women's eyes are often subconsciously attracted to features which show whether a man would be a strong protector and provider.
"Think about our cavewoman brains," she told the magazine. "We want to know, can this guy climb a tree and pick fruit for me? Can this guy slay a woolly mammoth for me?"
Things like the shoulders, arms and abdominal muscles would best show how capable primal men were at caring for and protecting their partners.
Even now women are still hard-wired to notice those particular areas and be attracted by the level of strength in the opposite sex.
Dr Walsh also added that the face can indicate levels of intelligence and kindness which were important for primal survival.
So if you want to make sure you don't scare away women on the street, now you know the main thing to work on is your eyes...
