The new device that can steal information from your phone without you even knowing

JOE

There’s a device that’s capable of stealing all of your social media passwords, your emails and more or less everything in your digital life, just by being in close proximity to your phone.

That’s what’s claimed by the makers of InterApp – a small box that can target smartphones.

Offered by Rayzone Group, a surveillance company from Israel, it’s claimed that the device does not need any cooperation from a phone for it to access its information.

ahhhhhhhh

Before anyone starts panicking too much, the device is being marketed to intelligence and law enforcement agencies and won’t be on general sale.

Although it isn’t clear how the device can intercept a smartphone’s data, an article by Motherboard reveals that it is to do with “smartphone application vulnerabilities”.

For most of us, this sort of news is no great cause for concern, although the thought of this kind of device falling into the wrong hands is might be.
