It turns out porn pays
Porn star Riley Reid has recently purchased a newly-built mansion in Pasadena, California, worth almost $5m.
Reid, real name Ashley Mathew, is one of the most-followed personalities on OnlyFans, and paid the full $4.8m amount up front for the four-bedroom, six-bathroom compound situated on a massive 3.6-acre lot.
Her new home was constructed in 2020 and is only one neighbourhood away from San Gabriel Valley, where she lived before, the New York Post reports.
The hilltop complex features a main house, a pool house with a fireplace, and a detached guest house that’s separate.
Reid has been ranked the top porn star on Pornhub and has over 1 million Instagram followers. She’s also won nine Adult Video News (AVN) awards, the industry’s version of the Oscars.
According to the listing for the mansion, the walls and doors of glass throughout the home highlight the endless and breathtaking views of the canyon and the downtown Los Angeles skyline.
A 450-foot gated driveway also goes down to a large motor court and private atrium entry.
Meanwhile, the main house features four bedrooms and a huge room with a kitchen, featuring high ceilings surrounded by 60 feet of sliding glass doors and an impressive wrap-around patio.
The highlight of the place may be in the kitchen though, where you can find a 146-bottle wine fridge.
And outside there’s a saltwater pool and spa, all looking out on a scenic waterfall.
All in, the complex is 4,985 feet of living space.
But although the property and wealth she has accumulated is an obvious benefit of her career in the adult film industry, the 29-year-old has recently spoken about some of the struggles she’s experienced in her line of work.
In a video uploaded to her YouTube channel, she revealed that she has a “toxic” relationship with her mum and finds it difficult to form meaningful relationships. She admitted she would not advise anyone enter the porn industry.
