A musician has filmed a hellish 29-hour flight where even his headphones couldn't save him from a screaming child. Henry Beasley, recently took a long haul flight from New Zealand to Berlin, Germany, which was made even more gruelling by the distressed child, who didn't appear to settle down at any point. Beasley, a singer-songwriter in the band Balu Brigada, documented his flight in a TikTok video which showed his growing frustration. The clip, which has been viewed over 11m times, begins with a voice over saying, "Rate my 29 hour flight to Berlin", as the child can be heard screaming in the background. Captions then pop-up, evaluating the child's vocals. As the clip goes on the musician's eyes begin to twitch. Possibly as a way of coping with the noise, Beasley begins rating the screams: "A nice long one." He conclude the video with his eyes barely staying open, saying: "Stellar performance, incredible stamina. 10/10."

Naturally, people had a lot to say about Beasley's bad experience. One commenter wrote: "Honestly there should be kid free flights and kid flights." That controversial opinion was shared by a woman from Floria in August. Morgan Lee also documented a flight punctuated with screams, and called for adults only flights. A second commenter on Beasley's video wrote: "The rage I get just by watching this," as another said: "I’ve stopped counting the reasons why I don’t want kids but this one is definitely on the list." Another commenter suggested infants shouldn't be allowed on flights over 4-hours long. Child-free flights have been discussed for many years now and have taken a particular center stage on TikTok, with content creators posting their nightmare flights. Both Ryanair and WestJet have posted April Fool's Joke in the past about introducing them, but no airline has ever actually gone ahead. Lee's video got a slightly different reaction to Beasley's, and not because her flight was just a few hours long. Parents were enraged by it. One user said: "And this is why people/parents/mums have anxiety when leaving the house. Because no grace is given." A second rather sarcastically added: "Poor you. My heart goes out to you and the amount of hours you endured another human's cries. I hope you’re better now." Related links:
