David Beckham announces he's moving to the USA to fulfil dream
He's leaving his family at home.
David Beckham has announced that he is planning to move to Florida to live his dream of owning a football club.
Speaking at a press conference in Miami, David explained: “I want to thank my family.
“Brooklyn and my wife Victoria, who is at home with the other kids.
“They’ve been through the good times and the bad times and I owe them everything.”
“Whenever they [my family] can, they’ll be coming over.”
His wife Victoria is going to stay in London with their three youngest children - Romeo, 15, Cruz, 12, and six-year-old Harper - during school term time, but they will fly out to see him during the holidays.
Beckham was joined by eldest son Brooklyn, 18, at the announcement.
A video showed Victoria saying: “We can’t wait to be spending much more time in Miami.”
Daughter Harper added: “Hi daddy, I can’t wait to see your first football match!”
Beckham's new club, which is yet to be named, will bring professional football back to Miami for the first time since 2001
