Alexander streamed his antics to Instagram and told security: "She's my first wife, my only wife.
"I'm her first husband, I'm here to crash the wedding."
The man was able to make it past security and into the couple's home.
Captain Cameron Henderson of Ventura county sheriff's office said officers responded to a trespassing call on Thursday shortly after 2 pm. With an outstanding warrant in another state, Alexander was arrested by LAPD while investigators looked into the incident. They may bring further charges against him.
"I am personally working with the sheriff's department to ensure Mr. Alexander is aggressively prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law," Britney Spears' attorney, Mathew Rosengart, told TMZ.
He added that he was "absolutely livid."
The couple sadly lost a baby in May, having announced the news just a month beforehand.
"It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that we have lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy," the Toxic singer posted. "This is a devastating time for any parent. Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along however we were overly excited to share the good news."
"Our love for each other is our strength. We will continue trying to expand our beautiful family. We are grateful for all your support. We kindly ask for privacy during this difficult moment."
