Aldi are introducing chocolate wine for Christmas this year and it’s very reasonably priced

They've done it again

Aldi just can’t stop dropping supermarket-based bangers.

Over the past year or so the supermarket has really upped its ‘cheap-stuff-that-is-also-really-good’ game, with such entries as award-winning gin, slip ‘n’ slides and mahoosive steaks.

Well now they’re back, and this time it’s Christmassy.

Aldi are bringing out a special chocolate wine for the Christmas market. It’s called the Rubis Chocolate Non Vintage Wine, which according to the description will have “notes of rich cherry and red fruit enveloped in velvety premium dark chocolate”.

The wine won the IWSC Silver Outstanding Medal in 2015 and 2016, which is a plus, but the best thing about it is that it costs less than a tenner – for just £9.99 you can have your very own bottle of chocolatey deliciousness. You can get your hands on a bottle from November 14.

If you get this along with Aldi’s three-litre bottle of prosecco, you’ll have a very merry Christmas indeed.
