As a bloke, you probably have wondered about something along your scrotum that looks like a stitch and asked yourself what that is all about.
This line on your private parts which may look weird, is pretty normal it turns out.
Now it all depends how long it took for you to really notice it, but the purpose of it is learned later on by some.
And if you have seen it, don’t you worry one bit. It turns out every lad has it.
"Why do balls have that stitch line in the middle?" is what one social media user had the courage to ask the internet, which then resulted in jokes and humourous comments.
One user commented that "it’s actually a zipper pocket and thats where we hide all our feelings."
But what is the stitch, again?
Long story short, it is known as ‘scrotal raphe’ in medical terms.
This issue is put to bed by a simple explanation, as according to science every individual begins their development in the womb from the same point, but each one becomes more distinct the more it progresses.
You start off as a sperm and an egg and then you develop based on your genetics and chromosomes.
It is not until 9 weeks into the pregnancy that you actually begin to develop your own personal set of privates.
That’s right, male and female embryos are not distinguishable right at the very beginning.
And the scar which might scare some, forms during the development of your genitals.
Now you can put your mind at ease, as there is literally nothing to worry about.
