David Beckham’s take on Zlatan Ibrahimovic potentially leaving Manchester United makes a lot of sense

“He’s a beast.”

Despite the fact that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is still recovering from a recent knee injury, the Swedish striker continues to make the headlines.

After starting for Manchester United during their 2-2 draw with Burnley on Boxing Day, only to be withdrawn at half-time, the former PSG and Barcelona striker has continued to endure an injury-ravaged 2017/18 season.

Ibrahimovic initially joined United on a free transfer in July 2016 but was released the following summer after his season was cruelly ended by a knee injury.

In recent weeks, the possibility of the 36-year-old leaving Old Trafford to join the LA Galaxy has increased. In fact, Mourinho even said that the club would “help” him find a new club – if that’s what he wants.”If it’s true and he wants a future at another club we are here to help. But Zlatan told me he wants to recover and feel ready to help the team,”  said Mourinho.

Given the fact that David Beckham was speaking with the press at the launch of his new MLS team in Miami, it’s only fitting that Zlatan’s potential move to the MLS was mentioned.

“He’d be more than welcome into this league by fans or by players. It doesn’t matter what injuries he had over his career. He’s a beast. No matter how you talk about him, he’s one of the best players and best people. If Zlatan, or other players like that, come into the league, it can only add to level this league can get to.  If he comes to the league, it would be great but at the moment, he’s a Manchester United player and I’m happy about that and I want him to stay there but at some point, he might come here (MLS).
