Arsenal beat Manchester United 2-0 on Sunday afternoon at the Emirates stadium. Not that you’d know it, as a follower of Piers Morgan on Twitter.

Manchester United’s 12-game unbeaten run in the Premier League came to an end at the hands of the Gunners, who secured a much needed win.

Granit Xhaka opened the scoring with a swerving shot that left David De Gea stranded, having been wrong footed by the movement of the ball. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang then doubled the Gunners’ lead from the penalty spot after a light nudge from Fred sent Alexandre Lacazette to the ground.

The penalty was soft, one wonders whether it would have been awarded with the benefit of VAR.

Regardless technical insight, Arsenal won a penalty.

Warming up on the sidelines, Matteo Guendouzi and Alex Iwobi were dead level with the penalty spot, in between the view of fans sitting pitch-side.

Realising they were impairing some supporters’ view of the pitch, Iwobi and Guendouzi hit the deck, assuming a sort of press up position.

Guendozi even flashed a little thumbs up to the fans behind him. Love it.
