Quality Street is bringing back one much-loved retro flavour

Get your votes in early to decide which one you'll hopefully be hoarding this Christmas

Quality Street are reportedly bringing back one of their classic flavours to the selection box, with the company determined to stock shelves in time for Christmas. As reported by BirminghamLive, a poll has been set up to decide which retro flavour from the original selection - released all the way back in 1936 - will be making a return to the coveted octagonal arena. The flavours you can vote for are as follows:

Vanilla Octagon: vanilla filling, milk chocolate coating
Almond Octagon: crunch nut pieces covered in choc
Fruits of the Forest Creme: fruity fondant covered in dark chocolate for black forest vibes
Jaffa Toffee: self-explanatory
Coffee Creme: see above - dark chocolate coating this time

As it happens, the chocolatiers recently released a new flavour in time for the festive season: the 'The Crème Caramel Crisp', which happens to be the first white chocolate offering ever introduced by the brand. With both that and potential old favourite returning, you're in for a treat. Nestle's CEO, Mark Schneider, acknowledged the potential shortages that have been mentioned: "Like other businesses, we are seeing some labour shortages and some transportation issues but it's our UK team's top priority to work constructively with retailers to supply them.” However, a spokesperson for the company they are "working hard to mitigate those issues and", at present, "are not seeing a material impact on supply". They reassured us that the factory in Halix produces 12 million choccies a day and "there will be plenty to go around this Christmas."
