If you’re into keeping fit, chances are you pay attention to some of the most influential fitness voices across social media.
Sure, you may not have their rock-hard abs or might not be able to replicate their perfect technique, but the messages and pictures they post across their various channels influence millions of people throughout the world.
Just how influential these fitness figures are was revealed by Forbes in a report on the
top social media influencers in the world this week, which was broken down into a number of different categories,
including fitness.
Not only are they influential, they're doing fairly well for themselves too.
According to analytics firm App Annie, for example, 'Sweat With Kayla', a fitness app by the number one influencer on the list, Australian Kayla Itsines, was the most-downloaded fitness app on both iOS and Google Play in 2016, earning $17 million (approximately £13.5 million) in revenues.
There’s a good chance you’ll recognise some of the names and faces below; they do have 39,482,812 Instagram followers, 2,593,624 Twitter followers, 52,303,914 Facebook likes and 4,958,879 YouTube subscribers between them after all.
