Off-White goes Off-Black as Nike ready release of new Air Force 1

It looks like Virgil and Nike have something new on the way

As soon as the first look at the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Low Volt appeared yesterday another first look soon followed in the form of the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Low Black.

Serving as the newest addition to the Off-White x Nike lineup, this new colourway of the Virgil Abloh x Nike collab has the classic basketball sneaker dressed in a black and white colour scheme consisting of an all-black upper offset by the white stitched-on swoosh.

The new take on the classic Air Force 1 differs from the MoMA collaboration that released earlier this year. Featuring the customary signature Off-White branding and text throughout, other features include the exposed foam tongue, two-toned laces, black sole, tongue tag placed on the right side of the tongue, suede heels that read “LOGO” above an embossed swoosh.

Additional accenting on the shoe comes in the form of Nike Sportswear tags on the tongue and “AIR” emblazoned on the sole unit.

Priced at $170 USD (UK price not determined at present), the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Black is set to be released sometime this month/early November.

Virgil Abloh is showing no signs of letting up. The architect, designer and creative director for Kanye West and founder and designer for his own label Pyrex Vision and Off-White, seems to be everywhere at the moment.

Not just content with making history – back in March he became the first African-American man to take the role of artistic director for Louis Vuitton’s menswear – he’s crossing over into the home as his interior collaboration with Ikea is set to arrive in December.
