X Factor star Chico Slimani has been rushed to hospital after suffering a stroke.
The 47-year-old singer is currently undergoing tests and remains under the supervision of doctors. A representative for the star told The Mirror: "We can confirm that Chico has sadly suffered a stroke. "This has been a great shock to Chico, his wife and their two children, also his close friends and family. "We thank you in advance for giving Chico and the family some privacy at this time Chico is now undergoing further tests and further statements will be released shortly." Born Yousseph Slimani, the singer is best known for his single "Chico Time", which was released after he finished 5th on Simon Cowell's TV singing contest in 2005. He later updated the single to "It's England Time" ahead of the 2010 World Cup. More recently he finished third on the 2012 edition of Dancing on Ice and has been involved in charity work for his Rainbow Child Foundation. Chico married Daniyela Rakic in 2008 and the pair have two children, Lalla-Kira and Zacharia.
