There hasn't been a bad Santa since Billy Bob Thornton in 2003, and quite frankly we're in desperate need of one.

So, bravo to Will Ferrell for stepping up as the new 'Badass Santa'.

The comedian dropped by Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show to announce his new role: "This image will crush Kris Kringle, it will bury his image. Kris has created me..."

"Kids today are demanding a newer, hipper, more badass Santa Claus, so you're welcome."
