This is sort of like Friday Night Lights in real life.
Regardless of whether or not you're a fan of American sports, it's hard to argue with the fact that they're pretty damn good at presenting their products to the wider world.
All the better if you love your sports, but you don't need to be a huge fan to appreciate the quality of the likes of ESPN's 30 for 30 series, HBO's Hard Knocks or theatrical offerings like the aforementioned Friday Night Lights.
If any or all of those are up your street, then you're definitely going to want to keep an eye on Last Chance U, a six-part documentary series coming to Netflix at the end of July. And don't worry, you won't have to go using any dodgy proxies since it will be available on British Netflix too.
Inspired by the GQ article of the same name, Last Chance U follows the stories of elite athletes in tough life circumstances who struggle to find their redemption on a champion community college football team.
From the two-minute trailer, it looks like it's a must-watch.
