A trailer for Top Boy: Season 3 - billed by Netflix as being the hit crime drama's "final chapter" - has been released.
As well as this, the streamer has also revealed that the six-episode season will premiere in September of this year. It will see the return of Ashley Walters and Kane Robinson as drug dealers Dushane Hill and Gerard 'Sully' Sullivan who ply their trade in the fictional Summerhouse estate in the London Borough of Hackney.
Top Boy initially premiered in 2011 on Channel 4 where it ran for two seasons. After being dropped by the network in 2014, it was later revived by Netflix, with two more seasons being released in 2019 and 2022.
Though the upcoming season of Top Boy will technically be its fifth, Netflix refers to the first two Channel 4 seasons of the show under the different series title Top Boy: Summerhouse.
Created and written by Ronan Bennett (Face, Public Enemies), Netflix says that the final season of the series "will decide who can reign as Top Boy of Summerhouse," with the streamer adding: "Now the stakes are at their highest and it’s time for the final reckoning."
