It appears that the army of the dead, led by the notorious Night King, has finally arrived at Winterfell according to the trailer for next week's episode number three of the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones.
The first two episodes have been something of a slow-burning affair so far, with old friends reuniting and only Jon Snow's learning of his real ancestry - something viewers have known since the end of Season 7 - providing any dramatic tension.
Thankfully the pace appears to be picking up from here on out, with an explosive-looking trailer for the next episode showing everyone from The Hound to Tyrion looking on in fear at the enemy at the doorstep.
Perhaps most telling of all is the few seconds of the newly knighted Ser Brienne of Tarth, who is shown screaming "Stand your ground!" at the soldiers around her, presumably as the dead mount their charge on the left flank of Winterfell that she is commanding.
Feast your eyes, winter is finally here.
