The way Eminem released the name of his new album is absolutely genius

Paul Moore

Fantastic.

Who needs a press release when you can spend five minutes of your day following a hip-hop trail of clues?

As the world eagerly waits for Eminem’s latest album to be released, his manager, Paul Rosenberg, may have just given away the title.

Ladies and gents, Revival is coming.

Ok, let’s follow the breadcrumbs and connect the dots.

Rosenberg, the current CEO and soon-to-be President of Def Jam Records, shared this image on social media and it’s the artwork for Yelawolf’s (Eminem’s protege) new album, Trial By Fire.

Take a look at the background though and pay attention to the billboard for the pharmaceutical product Revival.

Look what arrived at the Shady offices today! @Yelawolf TRIAL BY FIRE comes out this Friday 10/27! #cdbaby

The ‘E’ in the logo is flipped backward – that style is very much in keeping with the artwork on the rapper’s albums like Recovery, Encore and Relapse.

Also, there’s a disclaimer that reads – “REVIVAL does not cause these side effects, but if you have them you should for sure seek medical attention, ‘I need a doctor.’”

Now, Eminem fans will know that ‘I Need A Doctor’ is the title of a scrapped Eminem collaboration with Dr. Dre.

After visiting the website www.askaboutrevival.com, you’re greeted to a very cheesy infomercial where a man says that “it’s easy to lose yourself” before he finishes the advert by saying “I won’t waste my one shot.”

Hint, hint!

Also, the below image and the ‘bullshit placebo’ line isn’t exactly what you would expect to see on the website of a legitimate pharmaceutical company.

You have to give it to Eminem, he knows how to grab the headlines.
