You might not know Jason Paige’s name, but if you’re a child of the 90s then you’ve probably heard his voice.
The American singer and actor was the man behind the famous Pokemon theme song. You know, the one you just started singing to yourself after reading those words.
Paige might have moved onto new projects since recording that tune for the Pokemon TV show back in 1997, but he still wants to be the very best, like no one ever was.
He told TMZ that he would be happy to see a new version of the theme to capitalise on the Pokemon Go hype…just as long as he’s the one who sings it.
“Right now people are going around singing the old song in their heads as they run around playing it and I’d rather they keep singing my song,” Paige said, when ask
“Unless it’s me, there shouldn’t be a song.”
Paige admitted he’s been playing the game himself (and, quite frankly, who hasn’t?), though he didn’t reveal how close he has come to catching ’em all.
Now, because we know you’re forgetting some of the words while out absent-mindedly singing the Pokemon theme, here’s a quick refresher course courtesy of Jason Paige himself.
