In case you don't pay too much attention to American politics, oddball multi-millionaire Donald Trump seems poised to win the Republican Party's nomination for Presidential candidacy.

Trump has been something of a dark horse so far - considering he has little-to-no political expertise, has said some very dodgy stuff in the last few months and looks like Boris Johnson got trampled by a team of oxen. So it's safe to say that nobody could have possibly predicted his apparent political success. How'd they do that? We're left with two options: either Matt Groening is a mystical soothsayer, or politics in America has regressed to the point that its reality was cartoon joke fodder just 15 years ago.
