In case you don't pay too much attention to American politics, oddball multi-millionaire Donald Trump seems poised to win the Republican Party's nomination for Presidential candidacy.

Trump has been something of a dark horse so far - considering he has little-to-no political expertise, has said some very dodgy stuff in the last few months and looks like Boris Johnson got trampled by a team of oxen. So it's safe to say that nobody could have possibly predicted his apparent political success. Except, of course, The Simpsons. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtparSnQhFc In the clip, Bart is looking into a vision of the future where Lisa is President, having 'inherited quite a budget crunch from President Trump', leaving the country broke. How'd they do that? We're left with two options: either Matt Groening is a mystical soothsayer, or politics in America has regressed to the point that its reality was cartoon joke fodder just 15 years ago. When it comes to Trump, nothing surprises us any more.
