“That’s what daddys do.”
We’ve got a lot of time for The Rock when he’s just straight up being The Rock, so you can imagine that The Rock dancing around his living room in a Pikachu costume has been received with a unanimous thumbs-up.
The legendary wrestler-turned-actor surprised his teeny daughter Jasmine by dressing up as Pokemon’s chief mascot for Halloween, and surprisingly a towering yellow monster didn’t appear to frighten the life out of her.
In fact, it was only when the dancing Pikachu disappeared that her mood began to turn. As The Rock explained in his amusing Instagram post, it quickly became an endurance test.
“Pikachu is baby Jasmine’s FAVORITE character. So, for Halloween me and @laurenhashianofficial decided the real life Pikachu was gonna come to the house for a visit. What Pikachu didn’t know was that Jazzy would start crying when he stopped dancing and demanded he continue to shake his tail with a loud “EH!”. So, Pikachu danced over.. and over.. and over.. and over… and over.. again.
Towards the end of the video The Rock left the room for a well-earned breather, but young Jasmine wasn’t having any of it. He added: “By the time I dropped my 197th JuJu, the heat of this costume was kickin’ my ass.? But, hey.. that’s what daddy’s do.”
