The new season of Stranger Things is about to get even stranger

Paul Moore

It’s time to revisit the Upside Down.

There are still so many mysteries that have yet to be solved in Stranger Things but there’s one thing we do know about Season 2.  Will Byers is going to need a whole lot of therapy to get over the nightmarish finale that saw him and his friends battle the Demogorgon.

Oh yeah, he also had all those slugs and bugs to wipe out of his nose.

The world’s most beloved psychokinetic has opened a gateway to the Upside Down and if the trailer for Season 2 is anything to go by, we’re about to see a whole load of strange creatures emerging.

Speaking at SXSW festival, Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein, who create the music for the Netflix show, have said that the Upside Down is going to be a more prominent location in the upcoming episodes.

“There are new characters, fun, and the Upside Down will be more of a place… you’ll spend more time. So we’ll make a lot more weird music this time around,” Dicon said.

This nugget of information supports Matt Duffer’s previous statement that “Will seems to be seeing images from the Upside Down – the question is whether they’re real or not,” he said. “So it seems like he’s having some sort of post-traumatic stress disorder.”

Truth be told, we want to see more moments of gigantic monsters destroying things. More #JusticeForMonsters than #JusticeForBarb we say.

Get the Eggos ready.
