‘The Mountain’ actor posts apology on Instagram for latest Game of Thrones

The actor who plays Ser Gregor Clegane a.k.a 'The Mountain' in Game of Thrones has posted an apology on his Instagram page after the latest episode - 'The Last of the Starks'. In the latest instalment of the HBO hit, The Mountain, who is essentially Cersei Lannister's gigantic zombie bodyguard, is instructed to decapitate Missandei, Daenerys Targaryen's loyal translator and advisor. Which he does so, no questions asked. Clearly eager to separate reality from fiction and prove he is, in fact, a nice guy after all, the actor who plays him - Icelandic strongman Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson - shared a post on his Instagram explaining that he was just following orders. It's a quite lovely Christmas snap of himself with the actor who plays Missandei, Nathalie Emmanuel, too, along with the caption: "So sorry. Cersei made me do it. Meanwhile, Nathalie Emmanuel herself took the time to post a heartfelt goodbye to the show she has been a part of for since 2013.
