People were absolutely shattered by the BBC’s powerful ‘Hillsborough’ documentary

The two-hour programme was a very difficult watch

Paul Moore

The details of the Hillsborough disaster never fail to shock and move you, no matter how many times you might hear them – as is only right.

After 27 years of waiting, the families of the 96 people that were killed in the tragedy have been vindicated in their search for the truth.

Following this decision and the removal of various legal barriers, BBC2 decided to air Daniel Gordon’s incredibly powerful and moving documentary on Hillsborough for the very first time on British television on Sunday night.

While it’s a very difficult watch, the response was overwhelmingly positive.
