No word of a lie, Ryan Reynolds’ next film has one of the greatest plots we’ve ever heard

Just take our money

Just take our money

There’s a concept in Hollywood that you’re probably familiar with, the elevator pitch. Essentially, all this boils down to are a few words that effectively sum up the plot of a film.

For example, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand what Snakes on a Plane is all about. Taking this into account, you can understand whey we’re absolutely pumped to see The Meg – aka Jason Statham vs a 75-foot shark.

See, it’s simple.

On this note, it appears that Ryan Reynolds has found his next project and it’s an absolute doozy. The star of Deadpool looks set to work with Sam Raimi (The Evil Dead, Spider-Man trilogy) in a new film about the infamous Bermuda Triangle.

As reported by That Hashtag Show, the Bermuda Triangle film will be Raimi’s next project and he’s looking to start shooting in September.

With regards to the plot, it’s absolutely bonkers in the most brilliant way possible.

Here’s what’s in store: “When a massive submarine carrying nuclear weapons goes missing in the Bermuda Triangle, Commander Vogel enlists the help of Dr. Fisk ( Reynolds) a theoretical physicist, who while using his grandfather’s research opens a wormhole to reveal a mysterious island that is inhabited by anything lost in the triangle including sharks, Vikings, and Nazis, in the hopes of finding the nuclear weapons.”

Although nothing official has been confirmed yet, Reynolds has apparently been chosen for the lead male role and the script was written by John Gatins, he also wrote the recent Power Rangers reboot and the story for Kong: Skull Island.

As film fans will know, Raimi is consistently one of the most inventive, wacky and surreal directors around – hell, he made The Evil Dead! – so we’re really excited to see what he can do here.

Ryan Reynolds + sharks + Nazis + nuclear weapons + Vikings = fun.
