Quentin Tarantino doesn’t make films that often – in fact, the maverick director has frequently said that he’s going to retire after making two more films – but in typical Tarantino fashion, it appears that he’s going out in an flurry of violence and controversy.

The Hateful Eight was QT’s last release, but it appears that his next feature will focus on the Manson Family murders.

Regarding the plot, “one of the story’s centers on Sharon Tate”, who was married to the director Roman Polanski when she and a houseful of people fell victim to the Manson family.

In an act of vengeance, Manson ordered his followers to attack the inhabitants of a house in the Benedict Canyon part of Los Angeles because he believed this property was owned by a record producer who had previously rejected him.

Over the course of several hours on the night of Aug. 8, the four followers, using guns and knives, brutally killed Tate, who was eight months pregnant, and four other occupants.

Manson and members of his crew were sentenced to life in prison.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter “The project, whose title is unknown, was written by Tarantino who would also direct. Harvey and Bob Weinstein, who have produced and exec produced the previous Tarantino films, are involved.

It’s reported that Brad Pitt and Jennifer Lawrence have already been approached for roles.
