“That is not me!”

Piers Morgan has acted quickly to deny claims he is the Pigeon Lady from Home Alone 2.

Social media users had previously pointed to the uncanny resemblance between the woman and Good Morning Britain host Morgan.

However, speaking on this morning’s edition of GMB, the 55-year-old rubbished claims he was the Pigeon Lady.

Co-host Susanna Reid asked him to answer the allegations, after which a side-by-side image comparing Morgan to the Pigeon Lady was produced. Reid said this was “proof” they were one and the same.

Producers and cast members could be heard laughing in the background.

“Let’s have a look at Home Alone 2,” said Reid.

“Why does this keep coming around?” replied Morgan.

“Frankly, it is the best picture,” Reid continued.

“Lots of people watch Home Alone 2 and wonder if this is you [talking to Piers].”

“That is not me!” replied Morgan, sternly.

“I am not The Bag Lady from Home Alone 2.”

Susanna Reid then produced footage of Piers with a pigeon on his head, claiming it was all the proof they needed.

“Everywhere you go you attract the pigeons,” Reid added.

Piers Morgan was first linked to the Pigeon Lady when his son Spencer first posted the two images side-by-side.

Brenda Fricker, the Irish actress who plays the Pigeon Lady in Home Alone 2, is believed to have laughed at the whole episode.

In 1990, Fricker became the first Irish woman to win an Oscar, when she landed Best Supporting Actress for her role in My Left Foot.

Outside of Home Alone 2, Fricker has also starred in The Field (1990), Angels in the Outfield (1994), A Time to Kill (1996), Veronica Guerin (2003), Inside I’m Dancing (2004).

For the first time, Good Morning Britain will air on Christmas Day this year. Lorraine and This Morning are also set to be screened on Christmas Day, although Loose Women does not appear to have a slot in the schedule.
