Reform’s polling lead has disappeared in a bombshell new poll released on the day Andy Burnham officially became Labour leader.
For well over a year now, Reform have led every single credible poll published in British politics, something they’ve been keen to remind everyone of.
At the start of June, this streak was over 300 – but the run has come to an end.
New polling from Survation released on Friday – their final voting intention poll of Keir Starmer’s premiership – has seen Labour joint-top with Nigel Farage’s party, after a huge eight-point swing left both parties on 24%.
Whilst Reform saw a three-point drop in support, Labour had a huge five-point jump compared to Survation’s last polling in mid-June.
24% is the highest polling for Labour with Survation since November 2025, and it is Reform’s lowest in over a year, since just after the May 2025 local elections.
The pollster said that Labour are on the verge of fully overtaking Reform at the top of the polls after their biggest rise in support since the 2024 general election.
There can be no doubt that Andy Burnham’s ascension to Labour leader and soon-to-be prime minister has played a significant part in Labour’s jump in support.
But we also can’t ignore the controversy and chaos that has surrounded Reform and their leader in recent weeks, because it’s just that Labour have gained support – it’s also that Reform have lost it.
From Farage’s dodgy donations to Reform’s unpleasant responses to national tragedies, some eyes appear to be opening to the party’s true colours.
The concurrent rise in support for Labour and drop in support for Reform has been replicated in other polls this week, albeit to a much less dramatic extent.
It seems that the Burnham bounce shows no sign of slowing.
