As Game of Thrones fans will probably know well by know, preparations for the much anticipated eighth season are well underway, with filming having taken place in a number of locations, including Northern Ireland, already.

The main members of the cast would still appear to be busy in Spain as a whole host of them turned up as Sevilla FC’s guests of honour on Wednesday night, when the hosts picked up a thrilling win against Real Madrid.

As Thrones fans might know, Seville is actually a location in the show as it doubles-up for the Palace and gardens of Dorne.

Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) Gwendoline Christie (Brienne), Maisie Williams (Arya), Joe Dempsie (Gendry), Sophie Turner (Sansa), John Bradley (Sam), Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran) and our own Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth) were just a few of the many Game of Thrones stars in attendance.

One of the show’s creators, D.B Weiss, was also in attendance.

Of course, this isn’t the first time that the stars of Westeros have visited the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán – remember their trip to watch Seville play Barcelona a few years ago?

Maybe Jesus Navas can get a part in the new season?

As for the game, a late Sergio Ramos own goal proved to be the decisive goal in a thrilling match – the defender then scored in the other end – but we’re sure that Real’s immediate focus is on a Champions League final date with Liverpool.

As for the cast of Game of Thrones, well, they have the small matter of Season 8.
