Peter Kay speaks in a cockney accent for new sit-com (video)

Would you Adam and Eve it?

This might take some getting used to.

If you were to draw up a list of the most northern-sounding people in the country, there’s a good chance that Peter Kay would be one of the first names to jot down.

Yet for his latest role in the BBC’s ‘Cradle to Grave’, the Bolton comedian is having to use a very unfamiliar accent.

The comedy-drama is based on the life of Danny Baker, with Kay playing the part of his father. Based in 1970s London, Kay can be seen speaking in a cockney accent in this preview video.
