Patrick Stewart is to star as a debauched coke-addled British news anchor in a forthcoming US comedy series.

Blunt Talk, which premieres in the States later this year, also stars fellow Brit Adrian Scarborough as his loyal if permanently inebriated manservant. Stewart's character is an egotistical British journalist turned right-wing news pundit who doesn't remotely sound like anyone we can think of.
