Oasis ask fans tricky new question for Wembley ballot

Oasis are once again testing their fans knowledge with a question

This week, the Britpop icons revealed they would be playing two extra dates in London at the end of September. This came after huge demand for their initial run of 17 shows across the UK and Ireland next July and August.

However, after controversy and upset from fans over how tickets were sold in the general sale last weekend, tickets for the two Wembley shows in September will be sold in a different way.

Just like for the pre-sale last week, a ballot will take place, but this will be invite-only. Only those who unsuccessfully queued for tickets on Ticketmaster during the general sale will be invited to register for the ballot.

Overnight on Saturday (September 7), emails were sent out inviting people to register, so check your inbox this morning!

Once again though, fans will need to answer a question about the band in order to successfully register for the ballot.

Whilst the last one was all about the band's original drummer, this one is Wembley-themed.

The question to qualify for ballot this time around is: "When did Oasis last play at Wembley Stadium?"

The options were 2000, 2006 or 2009, with the correct answer being 2009.

If you get this question wrong - or have already got it wrong - you won't be successfully registered for the ballot.

If successfully registered, fans will then need to confirm their entry by midnight today (September 8). Winners will then be contacted "no later than 9pm BTS on Friday, 13th of September" according to Oasis.
