BBC Breakfast viewers issue same complaint minutes into show

BBC Breakfast viewers voiced immediate frustration on social media over repetitive news coverage, demanding the show move on to other stories.

Over the morning, BBC Breakfast hosts Charlie Stayt and Sarah Campbell were delivering weather reports surrounding the UK.

A majority of the coverage featured the solar that happened last evening.

The partial eclipse, where 90% of the sun was covered by the moon, was a treat for Britons.

The sighting was the first since the 1999 solar eclipse, carrying much importance and coverage across the islands.

However, the morning show received complaints merely minutes into the show as fans pleaded “can we move on.”

Sarah Campbell said on the show: “I mean, my daughter watched it. She described it as a bit underwhelming.”

Which prompted Charlie Stayt’s response: "I think that was a fairly common experience for a lot of people."

BBC Breakfast showed pictures and footage of the astronomy event, which were met with complaints from viewers.

One person said on X: “#bbcbreakfast Eclipse again FFS”, which was the general feeling towards the coverage.

Another person responded: “THE ECLIPSE IS OVER!.. IS THE BBC IS HITTING THE WEATHER AGAIN!”

However, not all viewers were annoyed by Sarah and Charlie’s coverage, as manny didn’t get to experience the ellipse in its grandeur.

One of those persons posted on X: “#bbcbreakfast You really can never have enough eclipse photos."
