Noel Gallagher says 'monstrous drug taking' will be kept out of new Oasis film
The creators behind the Amy Winehouse biopic are working on a new film about Oasis.
Asif Kapadia will act as executive-director on the film while Mat Whitecross, who has directed a number of Coldplay videos and 2012's Spike Island, is at the helm.
They will chart the rise of the Britpop band from their early days to their split in August 2009 when Noel walked out from the band after a guitar wielding fight.
Noel and Liam Gallagher have agreed to share their favourite memories and offer insight with interviews - but the extent of their drug taking will be left out.
Noel spoke to GQ about the footage saying: "We have all this footage from behind the scenes leading up to the gigs, most of which can’t be used as there’s just monstrous drug taking."
