Netflix's reboot of Sabrina the Teenage Witch has given fans what they've been hoping for since the show was first announced.
And no, we aren't talking about a Riverdale crossover (but we're still pretty hopeful about that).
Following the news that Mad Men actress Kieran Shipka would play Sabrina, and The Vampire Diaries' Jaz Sinclair would co-star as her best friend Rosalind, we've received confirmation of the return of the show's most important character.
While we don't know yet who will be taking on the role of Harvey, the series' producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa announced on Friday that everyone's favourite character has been cast.
We mean Sabrina's wise-cracking cat Salem, of course.

While he first started out as an ordinary non-speaking cat in the comic books, Salem got a much darker origin story following the success of the '90s sitcom
The character was revealed to be a witch sentenced to spend a century as a cat, with no magical powers.
It hasn't been confirmed yet what kind of way the series will show Salem, but we're definitely intrigued.
It is not yet known what the series will be called, but it promises to stay faithful to the Sabrina comic books, focusing on dark magic, the occult and horror.
