Netflix viewers are urging others to binge a new ‘must watch’ mystery series based on a best-selling book.

Often it can be all too easy to get bogged down in the mire within the revolving door of new TV series to watch especially when time is precious and for many it takes some serious willpower to commit to six hours or more of television.

However one new BBC series that has just dropped on Netflix has convinced fans that this drama is worth the time.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is a book adaptation by the BBC of the novel of the same name written by Holly Jackson which is currently enjoying an overwhelming amount of positive feedback on social media.

The series set in the UK follows a teenager, Pip, who starts to investigate the murder of a popular school girl by her boyfriend five years prior along with Ravi, the younger brother of the boyfriend framed for the murder, in an attempt to exonerate him and find the true killer.

She undertakes the investigation under the guise of a school project, but each step towards the truth puts her in graver danger.

The thriller features a star-studded cast including Emma Myers from Wednesday as Pip, Zain Igbal as Ravi, Mathew Baynton, and Anna Maxwell Martin.

Myers told Netflix’s Tudum: “I’m thrilled about this show, and getting to be Pip has been a dream.

“Whether you’ve read the book or not, A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is an experience all around. I think people are really going to like it.”

And viewers do indeed seem to like it as one person wrote on social media: “This lived up to, if not, surpassed my expectations. It hasn’t even been out for a week and I’ve already watched the series through six times. I highly recommend this series, it is the perfect Mystery/Thriller to watch if you’ve got a spare weekend.”

I just finished watching A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder and I LOVED IT. I loved every second, they left out no details, I was worried they’d change the storyline a bit but they didn’t and I’m just so happy. It was worth sacrificing my sleep for it.

Meanwhile another person simply branded it as “outstanding.”

The show so far maintains a very respectable 82% rotten tomatoes score with 79% of users on google saying they liked the series.

So, if you’ve got some free time and you’re looking for your next binge then look no further, and even better, for those based in the UK, the show is available on BBC iPlayer too!
