Netflix release two stunning trailers for their new real life murder documentary

"A psychopath in sheep's clothing"

The Amanda Knox story is one that has frequently dominated international headlines.

Knox is an American woman who spent almost four years in an Italian prison following the 2007 murder of Meredith Kercher.

Kercher was a British student who was found dead on the floor of her bedroom. Knox, then a 20-year-old student, raised the alarm. She had allegedly spent the night with her boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito.

During interrogation, the conduct of which has frequently been questioned, Knox implicated herself and her employer. Knox and boyfriend Sollecito were accused of murdering Kercher while acting with the employer, but he was released.

Fingerprints matching a Rudy Guede were found on Kercher’s possessions.

Knox was found guilty and international outrage ensued. American forensic experts found that the evidence presented at trial was incompatible with her involvement. After four years in an Italian prison, Knox was acquitted.

The case against Knox was based largely on witness reports who claimed the student was unaffected and unemotional about her roommate’s death.

Public opinion of Knox was split and in the new Netflix documentary, filmmakers have acknowledged this.

For that reason, two gripping trailers have been released – one in which Knox appears innocent and one in which she seems like a heartless killer.

The two are absolutely jarring and the only thing that’s clear is that this is a film not to be missed.
