One prayer = one episode

I had a conversation with an Uber driver last night, well two, but the first one was inconsequential. On the way home it was about faith. He had it and I didn't. That's changed. My difficulty reconciling the problem of evil with intelligent design dissolved like a supermarket own-brand Berocca in a kettle this morning. And God, if you could sort one of those out too it'd be great, because now that Brooklyn Nine-Nine has been saved by NBC I think you're on a roll. The show was cancelled by Fox and, as JOE reported, in need of a miracle. Well, the network announced the news on Twitter: "We got your SIX! #Brooklyn99 is officially coming to NBC!" https://twitter.com/nbc/status/995167604770652160 And The Lonely Island, star Andy Samberg's comedy music group, joined in the celebrations too. https://twitter.com/thelonelyisland/status/995151709709025280 https://twitter.com/thelonelyisland/status/995152797430497280 Petitions to save Jake, Terry, Amy, Charles and the inimitable Captain Holt have sprung up on Change.org, with thousands of people hoping to see the funniest show on TV since Parks and Recreation continue.

NBC Entertainment's Chairman Robert Greenblatt said: "Ever since we sold this show to Fox I've regretted letting it get away, and it's high time it came back to its rightful home.

"Mike Schur, Dan Goor, and Andy Samberg grew up on NBC and we're all thrilled that one of the smartest, funniest, and best cast comedies in a long time will take its place in our comedy line-up. I speak for everyone at NBC, here's to the Nine-Nine!"

And because the show's relocating across broadcast television and not to an online service, the odds of it staying on E4 are pretty bueno. Thank you, thank you big man in the sky.
