Speaking to E!Online at the Toronto International Film Festival to promote 'The Martian', Matt Damon was asked who would win in a fight between his Jason Bourne character and Batman - played by old chum Affleck. "Jason Bourne would kick the s**t out of Batman - absolutely!" replied Damon, without a moment's hesitation.

"Batman's gotta take on Superman first," he added. "If he could beat him then maybe he could take on Jason Bourne." Affleck is taking on the role of the Dark Knight in Batman v Superman, out next Spring. When Damon was asked whether he'd follow his pal into the comic book world of superhero franchises, he didn't feel it was for him. "I think they're kind of out of superheroes," Damon said. "Ben's going to be like the sixth or seventh Batman, so I don't think there's really any left. So I'm good. Jason Bourne is my superhero."
