Jonah Hill looks like Jurgen Klopp after huge transformation for new role

James Dawson

He looks unrecognisable with long hair and a beard.

It’s safe to say that Jonah Hill has picked up a name for himself for undergoing complete changes of appearance in the name of acting.

He has made headlines for his fluctuating weight, as he has piled on and lost the pounds to play various film roles.

He was forced to tip the scales at 18 stone for his part in War Dogs. However, he has now lost that weight and his new transformation may be his biggest yet.

For Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far on Foot – which follows a slacker called Donnie (Joaquin Phoenix) as he attempts to quit alcohol – Hill plays Donnie, a wealthy gay man with long blonde hair and a beard.

And – judging by the trailer – in the film he looks nothing like you might have seen before. Closer to an old school Jurgen Klopp, or Kurt Cobain back in the day, than his usual self.

For a better look at him, see the trailer here:

Jonah has made a conscious effort to change the direction of his career over the past decade, after making a name of himself in buddy comedies like Superbad. His adoption of more serious parts led to him receiving a  Oscar nomination for his part in The Wolf of Wall Street.

“Being healthier came along with maturity,” he told New York magazine a few years ago. “And it’s hard, because a lot of times people want you to be the guy you were when they met you.

“I love doing funny movies, but I want to mature, literally, in how I treat myself. I’m not living in a frat house with a bong plastered to the table.

“But all this stuff (body image) is just part of maturing in body and in mind. I just want to be a good man and to make my family proud. And, you know, I want to live a long time.”
