Say hello to John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum
Since Keanu Reeves first donned the black suit, crisp white shirt and black tie, and immediately set about avenging the death of his lovely dog, audiences have been hooked on the adventures of John Wick.
The role represented Reeves’ first proper foray into unadulterated action since the Matrix series and has seen Wick almost instantly become a legendary character.
The super assassin has been a hit thanks to not only his infallibility in combat situations and his shooting skills, but also the manner in which Reeves plays him as the silent, brooding hitman.
John Wick: Chapter Two ended on something of a cliffhanger, leaving fans desperate for more action, and it was quickly revealed that Reeves would be joined by Halle Berry in the third edition. Fans were also happy with leaked shots showing Wick shooting bad guys from atop a horse.
On Tuesday, the official John Wick Twitter account released a teaser video confirming that the full title of the latest instalment will be John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.
The teaser quite obviously suggests that once again Wick is being chased by every member of the assassin community, and for those wondering, “parabellum” is Latin for “prepare for war”, so expect just as much action this time around.
A full trailer for the film will be released on Thursday.
