Jeremy Clarkson accused of wasting money and being a diva during Top Gear days

We've all heard of stars requesting ridiculous things on their rider - turns out Jeremy Clarkson's is up there.

It has been claimed that when the former Top Gear presenter was on a promotional trip to New Zealand, he asked for some pretty crazy demands.

Jezza reportedly asked for gravy mix to be delivered to him at his hotel - by helicopter - along with cigarettes and a Monopoly game.

Although the hotel is secluded, it's in Auckland where shops could easily be reached by car.

Ed Coutts, owner of accommodation provider Waiheke Unlimited, told the New Zealand Herald: "The cost was outrageous and the show’s promoters were complaining they were going broke."

On another visit, Mr Coutts said the Clarkson - who has a budget of £4.5million per episode on his new Amazon show - wanted a new Range Rover Sport with no mileage on it.

He said: “It never got used. I asked what was the point and he said, ‘I just wanted to look at it’.”
