How Ed Sheeran helped his friend out of financial difficulty

Be our friend, Ed

We could all do with knowing Ed Sheeran – he’s made sure his friend never has to worry about a mortgage payment again.

The singer helped his childhood pal Amy Wadge out of her financial difficulty by allowing her to contribute to his last album ‘X’ and help him pen hit hit track ‘Thinking Out Loud.’

He revealed: “She was going through financial troubles about a year ago. She drove to my house – my album was nearly done – and she asked if I could put a song from when I was 17 on the deluxe album, so she could get a little bit of money and pay the mortgage and bills and stuff.

“While she was there, we wrote ‘Thinking Out Loud.’ Now she never has to worry about money again,” he added to the Daily Mirror.

The flame-haired star – who has previously revealed he was homeless before finding fame – is thrilled he’s helped Amy and her young family live the life they’ve desired.

He explained with a smile: “She’s got a family and two kids and stuff and every time I speak to her, she’s going on holiday. It’s really nice to see. It wouldn’t have happened if she hadn’t come down from Wales to see me.”
