Like any decent father, Jason Isaacs has publicly supported his on-screen Harry Potter son Tom Felton amid a bit of uproar.
Draco Malfoy actor Felton drew criticism from social media users last weekend after sharing some warm words about author JK Rowling with the media.
Speaking to Variety on the Tony Awards red carpet, the 37-year-old suggested Rowling's incendiary views on trans people didn't impact him on a personal level.
"I'm not really that attuned to it," he said. "The only thing I always remind myself is that I've been lucky enough to travel the world – here I am in New York – and I have not seen anything bring the world together more than Potter. And she's responsible for that, so I'm incredibly grateful."
As the vitriolic microcosm of X (formerly Twitter) jumped on Felton, Lucius Malfoy star Isaacs made sure to give him a pat on the back.
"Saw you presenting on the Tonys tonight son – you looked good, sounded good and did great," he tweeted, before revealing he'd already booked tickets to see Felton at the Lyric Theatre this November when he returns to the role of Draco in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

Due to her ongoing campaign against trans rights, Rowling has been condemned by many Potter stars, including Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Sean Biggerstaff and David Tennant.
Felton, though, has always upheld his respect for the writer.
He told The Times in 2022: "I couldn't speak for what others have said or what she said, to be completely honest, but I'm often reminded, attending Comic-Cons in particular, that no one has single-handedly done more for bringing joy to so many different generations and walks of life.
"I'm constantly reminded of her positive work in that field and as a person. I've only had a handful of meetings with her but she has always been lovely. So I'm very grateful for that.
"I'm pro choice. I'm pro life. I'm pro discussion. I'm pro love," he continued. "I don't tend to pick sides."
