Gogglebox favourites to quit the show to take part in Celebrity Big Brother

Gogglebox fans will be disappointed to hear that popular duo Stephen Webb and Chris Steed are set to leave the show to join Celebrity Big Brother. Two stories this week point to Stephen and Chris departing the TV review show to enter the CBB house, although the news is yet to be officially confirmed. According to The Mirror, they would have to quit Gogglebox if they want to appear on the reality TV show.
A source spoke to The Sun earlier this week and said that CBB bosses are keen to get the duo on board.
"The show’s producers are really keen to get them on and would be happy to pay up to £500,000 to see it happen.
"Everyone’s really excited at the prospect because they are so dynamic and they already know they make great TV. They're fan favourites and their dry humour is bound to be hilarious in the house."
It will come as a blow to people who enjoy watching people watching television on television.
