The talent show Let It Shine is being accused of sexist double standards.
The show, which offers singers the chance to be in a new musical about Take That, is facing a backlash after one of the male contestants was asked to take off his top to show off his body.
Harry, was asked by Martin Kemp, one of the judges, to take off his top. Instead of doing so immediately, he said that he would do it if he got through to the next round.
Sure enough, he received enough points to see him through and so he removed his top.

Viewers were not impressed by the sexist double standards and complained on social media.
Let it shine. Great talent. But why does he have to take the top off. Very sexist. If a girl did it there would be outrage @BBCLetItShine

@BBCLetItShine thought this was a singing show not a strip show?! Not appropriate! Turn off!

@BBCLetItShine imagine a girl did that. She'd be slut shamed and harassed. It's a singing competition and he was shit. But had pecs.

@BBCLetItShine imagine the kick off if this was a woman the judges were encouraging to strip and leer over…

Jokes aside, imagine these he reaction to those comments if Harry was a lady… it's an odd double standard right! #LetItShine
