Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner had a very raunchy reaction to that scene with Arya

She’s, erm, proud of her on-screen sister

Throughout the making of Game of Thrones, various lifelong friendships have been made that will probably last longer than The Wall.

For example, John Bradley (Sam), Joe Dempsie (Gendry), Richard Madden (Robb Stark), Sophie Turner (Sansa), Maisie Williams (Arya), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), Ben Crompton (Dolorous Edd), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Conleth Hill (Varys) and Liam Cunnigham (Ser Davos) were all invited to the wedding of Kit Harington (Jon Snow) and Rose Leslie (Ygritte).

However, it’s arguable that no two people are closer friends than Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner.

Ok, consider this to be your spoiler alert warning.

Simply put, nothing is ever taboo between the two actresses and during a memorable episode of Game of Thrones, the sex scene between Arya and Gendry was pretty memorable.

In the very first episode of the show, we learned that King Robert wanted to unite the houses of Baratheon and Stark and it looks like he finally got his way. Granted, most people thought that Joffrey and Sansa would have been the most likely couple, but Arya and Gendry’s spark from previous seasons has definitely been reignited in Season 8.

As part of her “And That’s the Tea” Instagram Story series, Sophie Turner provided commentary for Arya’s steamy scene with Gendry and it’s as unfiltered as you would imagine.

“In honour of Easter, I guess Game of Thrones wanted the storyline to have a little Easter bunny hop, hop, hoppin’ into that pussy… and that’s the tea,” said Turner before chugging her wine.

The Stark sisters, eh?

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Turner said that she knew that her friend would have a sex scene in Season 8 before even she knew.

“I called Maisie and was like: ‘Have you read it yet?’” Turner recalls. “And she’s like, ‘I’m midway through episode one.’ And I’m like: This scene, this page, read it! This is awesome! She was very happy.”

Williams said that the Game of Thrones showrunners and director of the episode, David Nutter, were extremely helpful and respectful when it came to filming the scene.

“David and Dan were like: ‘You can show as much or as little as you want. So I kept myself pretty private. I don’t think it’s important for Arya to flash. This beat isn’t really about that. And everybody else has already done it on the show, so…” said Williams.

Given the fact that the 22-year-old actress has grown up on screen, Joe Dempsie (Gendry) said that he also found the sex scene a strange one to film, especially since he has known Williams for quite some time.

“It’s obviously slightly strange for me because I’ve known Maisie since she was 11, 12 years old. At the same time, I don’t want to be patronising toward Maisie — she’s a 20-year-old woman. So we just had a lot of fun with it, said Dempsie.

Well, it’s clear that Sophie Turner also had plenty of fun watching it.

Here’s hoping that Arya and Gendry survive the Battle of Winterfell.
